Cool free CD/DVD burning software. Creates images from existing CD/DVD. Creates audio disks from .mpg or .flac (flac is very hidef audio). Not the easiest to use but if you can drag & drop or know your way around the Windows file dialog box then it should be easy to use. If you don't know how to drag & drop then you should really learn as it is one of the basic components to nearly every operating system that uses a GUI - graphical user interface. That is the infection and if you do click on it you are giving that site permission to download and run a file on your computer. Not good.

Gimp
GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed program for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.
It has many capabilities. It can be used as a simple paint program, an expert quality photo retouching program, an online batch processing system, a mass production image renderer, an image format converter, etc.
GIMP is expandable and extensible. It is designed to be augmented with plug-ins and extensions to do just about anything. The advanced scripting interface allows everything from the simplest task to the most complex image manipulation procedures to be easily scripted.
GIMP is written and developed under X11 on UNIX platforms. But basically the same code also runs on MS Windows and Mac OS X.
OpenOffice.org
Don't have Office or Word? OpenOffice is Sun Corporation's project to compete with Microsoft's Office Suite. This has some abilities that Office doesn't and Office outshines it in some areas.
